It is with deep regret and profound sadness that I inform you of the passing of Mrs. Louisa Fletcher, the “Godmother” of the Civil Rights Movement in Kansas.
Mrs. Fletcher, served for almost a quarter of a century as Kansas’s first female State Conference President and 15 years as a member of the NAACP National Board of Directors.
May the legacy of our President Emeritus Mrs. Louisa Fletcher continue to inspire us to stay “Steadfast and Immovable” in our commitment to advance the mission of social and economic justice for all!
